No one really knows how old Erutan is at this point, though some assume he is "28" when really his age is closer to 130 or so.
Erutan became a master magi of nature magic by facing the trials in a place called The Forest Hell at the age of 15 (actual age at the time). The Forest Hell is one of Jaecym's heavily forested islands which is located in the world of Feltza (Zed's world). As a right of passage, nature magi are forced to spend 6 months within this forest which contains an innumerable amount of deadly plant life. The flora on this island make it virtually impossible to live here by having plants that can range from posionous to the touch, hallucinations, being carniverous and much more. These kinds of plants are used as a test to both help the nature magi learn how to survive as well as teach them to weild more combat efficient plants.
Erutan's markings are known as "The Mark of Nature". They can come in any size or style on any nature magi but they are always green. This shows he has sworn to only use nature magic and no other magic. If he used any other magic mixed with nature, it would cause pain to the flora.
A relaxing day for Erutan would be meditaion, drinking tea, walking among the forest, or spending time with the family.
Erutan does his best to watch over Zed's family, keeping a special eye on Riley to insure she is content and not doing anything reckless.
He has never once been angry with anyone, even Riley when she is being unreasonable. He may get stressed or annoyed, but never enraged.
As a man who uses plant life, it's only fitting to have fire as an unsettling thought to him. It's not much of a fear but more of the thought of flames engulfing any plant life puts him at unease since he can hear their cries and know how much pain they are in.
